NAVIGATION

This rally is a rally of navigation. It is therefore not question of speed, nor of crossings of obstacles. Competitors have "road books" whith indication on the route to follow,from the first departure in the city ,to the jungle the next morning and until the the arrival.

The run goes through various points of control ,resting points or refuelling area . The organisers make everything to make orientation and navigation difficult.

THE TRACK

The track crosses magnificent landscapes of savannah and of tropical forest .It is an important logistical organization which lasts throughout the year .The total number of person in the race (staff and competitors) being 400 persons . The main sponsor of this event is the refinery Staatsolie well known in Suriname.
Our participation began with one 4X4 in 2008 , two 4X4 in 2009 and three 4X4 in 2010 .

This year we have wished to represent our region, French Guiana

Departure will take place in Paramaribo , Capital city of Suriname :
Friday 12 November 2010 at 8PM.
Parade of nations at 7 pm ,Indepence square, Paramaribo,
Arrival of the race in Paramaribo on Monday 15 November evening .

The "Savanne Rally » is organized by the Suriname Automotive Rally Klub (SARK) almost every year since the 1970's, at the beginning of the month of November. The first two editions had Cayenne as the city of departure. This race today brings together a hundred crew, including many competitors from abroad : West Indies, Trinidad and Tobago, Guyana, Holland, Brazil, Argentina and French Guiana. This event has a major impact in the country and is covered by the television channels.

Le « Savanne Rally » est organisé par le Suriname Automotive Rally Klub (SARK) presque tous les ans depuis les années 1970, au début du mois de novembre. Les deux premières éditions eurent Cayenne comme ville de départ.

Cette course rassemble une centaine d’équipage, dont de nombreux compétiteurs venus de l’étranger : Antilles néerlandaises , Trinité et Tobago, Guyana, Hollande, Brésil, Argentine et de Guyane Française. Cet événement a un retentissement majeur au Surimane et est couvert par les chaîne de télévision et radio.

Ce rallye est un rallye de navigation. Il n’est donc pas question de vitesse, ni de franchissements d’obstacles. Les concurrents disposent de « road books » qui leur indiquant la route à suivre, du départ à l’arrivée, en passant par différents points de contrôle et points de repos-ravitaillement. Les organisateurs font tout pour rendre la navigation et l’orientation difficile.

Le parcours de la compétition traverse des paysages magnifiques de savane et de forêt tropicale .

C’est une logistique d’organisation importante qui dure toute l’année .Le nombre total de personne dans la course (staff et concurrents) avoisine les 400 personnes .

Le Sponsor principal de cette compétition étant la raffinerie Staatsolie ,bien connue au Surinam.

Notre participation a commencé avec un 4X4 en 2008 , deux 4X4 en 2009 et trois 4X4 en 2010 , année ou nous avons souhaité représenter notre région de Guyane

Départ de Paramaribo le Vendredi 12 Novembre 2010 a 20h00.

Défilé des nations présentes à 19h00 place du palais du Président , Paramaribo, SURINAME.

Arrivée de la course à Paramaribo le lundi 15 novembre au soir .

- Présentations des véhicules et du TEAM FRENCH GUIANA à la région Guyane .

-Mercredi 10 novembre :
-Départ de Cayenne au petit matin afin de traverser le Fleuve MARONI à 08h00 .
-Arrivée à PARAMARIBO , Surinam en fin de matinée.

Vendredi 12 Novembre :
présentation et défilé place du Président à Paramaribo :Notre Team défilera avec le Drapeau FRANCAIS.
à 20h00 Départ du rallye dont la première épreuve se joue jusqu'au matin.

Lundi 15 novembre :
arrivée du Rallye à PARAMARIBO

10 november:
Departure from CAYENNE early Morning

12 november
presentation of all teams in PARAMARIBO and Nations Parade .
